PROJECT 1:
READING THE CONTEXT OF TRADITIONAL STREET

PROJECT 1:
ON-SITE OBSERVATIONAL JOURNAL

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project was a on-site exercise where we had to compile our observations and sketches of the tangible and intangible context of the site. We had to produce 10 on-site manual sketches that give a clear idea of the measured building and its context.

PROJECT OUTCOME
REFLECTION

This task where we had to do an on-site sketching and observation was new to me. It took me some time to adapt to the place and start working initially because it's not easy to compile observations of a new place immediately. However, after walking around the place for some time, I got used to the environment there. I produced quite a number of sketches and took lots of pictures for references while I was there. By the time I left the site, I was filled with loads of information about that site. This was my first ever site visit and it turned out to be a very good experience. I look forward to a lot more site visits like this in my journey in architecture.
